Champagne Hand Embroidered Silk Sash

Beautiful, hand embroidered and beaded sash on soft champagne coloured silk ribbon.  This is a completely unique one-of-a-kind design that has taken so many hours to complete. 

I have used tiny offcuts of antique lace that I have pieced together into an Art Deco design.  The lace has been embroidered using vintage silks in creams and ivory and stitched with very old and fragile antique gold silks.  I have sewn tiny Miyuki Delica seed beads in taupe and cream opal alongside freshwater pearls and small ivory Toho beads to create a really elegant and timeless design. The hand dyed silk ribbon is a lovely soft champagne colour and is beautifully soft.  The sash is just over 2 metres long and the width of the silk ribbon is 5cm and I have added a little row of beads to the ends of the ribbon.
