AURELIA | Statement Pale Gold and Verdigris Bridal Crown

My Aurelia Statement Bridal Crown is where this collection all started and is the signature headpiece.  I adore making crowns and each collection has at least one, so this time, I've experimented with verdigris patinas on brass to create a beautiful, statement headdress that can be worn either at the back of your head as a reverse crown or, as a more traditional crown on top of your head.

Each of my wedding crowns starts with a made to measure, hand formed copper headband to ensure a perfect fit. The Aurelia crown is made from a mix of raw, white patina brass and verdigris brass leaves and tiny Miyuki Delica seed beads intricately wired to resemble miniature flowers.  Crystals in shades of pales blue/green or clear/white opal add a hint of very subtle sparkle. 

Once the wire work is complete, the copper headband is wrapped in the softest pure silk ribbon and long lengths of hand dyed silk ribbon are added to the loops at either end - the long ribbons are removeable.
