MILLEFOLIA Precious Metal Statement Olive Leaves Grecian Bridal Crown

I've always been completely in awe of the incredible Greek and Roman laurel leaf crowns and wreaths and have always wanted to make one so my Millefolia Crown is my take on those ancient and wonderful Greek diadems. 

Every part of Millefolia is created by hand; I use recycled sterling silver or brass to create each leaf by cutting them out from sheet metal.  Each leaf is soldered to precious metal wire to create little stems of leaves.  The headband is made from two layers of wire to create a halo effect.  I hand forge and solder the wire headbands together to create a firm base to add the leaves to.  Each sprig of leaves is handwired to the headband to create a double layered crown headdress. 

After the leaves have been added, I wire wrap tiny semi-precious ethically sourced gem stones amongst the leaves.  The crown is finished with hand dyed silk ribbons that thread through the loops at either end of the headband.

These really are very special wedding headdresses - each one is made to order and will be made to measure.  No two crowns will ever be the same and they are designed to be future heirlooms to treasure and love.  Each crown takes many weeks to make and is made with so much love and attention to detail. 

A choice of semi-precious stones can be sourced for you - the cost may vary depending on the gem stones chosen and the costs quoted here are for garnets and aquamarine.  This crown can also be made in 9 carat gold upon request.
